Wild Macadamia Porridge
Start your day with the exotic flavours in this healthy breakfast. Macadamia nuts are said to help lower cholesterol, and they're full of good-for-you fatty acids. Add some sweetness with coconut and agave nectar
½ cup of raw macadamia nuts (not soaked)
½ cup of almond milk
1 tbsp of maple syrup or agave nectar
Pinch of cinnamon
¼ tsp of vanilla extract
½ cup of raw macadamia nuts (not soaked)
½ pear or apple (cored)
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp of sprouted wild rice (optional)
In a food processor, pulse apple or pear to desired consistency. Transfer to a small Bowl. Pulse macadamia nuts until crumbly. Transfer to bowl. Add remaining ingredients and adjust to desired sweetness. Top with fresh coconut, bee pollen, or other fruit.
