Spread 1 tsp (5 ml) of the butter over one side of each of the slices of bread. Arrange one slice of bread, buttered side down. Top with one slice of cheese, apple slices, turkey and remaining slice of cheese. Cover with second slice of bread, buttered side out.
Heat dry skillet over medium heat. Place apple, turkey and Cheddar sandwich in skillet and cook until golden brown and toasted on each side and cheese is melted, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Slice and serve.
