Here’s a list of things to do this week, including supporting cancer research, checking out a health show and going for a run.

Wear a daffodil

April

Across Canada

Show your support for a cure with this pretty daffodil pin. Funds raised go toward cancer prevention, research and support through the Canadian Cancer Society. While the flower is meant to represent strength and courage, we can’t help but think it’s completely adorable. To find out where you can get one of your own, go to fightback.ca.

Check out a show

April 8 to 10

Toronto

The Total Health Show is happening this weekend. If you’re curious or fanatic about natural health, it’s worth checking out. The long list of speakers are scheduled to discuss lots of interesting stuff, from cell phone radiation, to the benefits of raw food, Ayurvedic medicine to becoming a vegetarian. Tickets cost $10 for a weekend pass for the exhibitor floor, and $50 for a full-access weekend pass for the lectures.

Not in the area? Check out the You Deserve It women’s show in Guelph, or the Body Soul & Spirit Expo in Calgary.

Forget about Winter

April 10

St. John’s

To support the Arthritis Society, participate in the Winter Warm-up 2.5 and 5K Fun Walk/Run. Registration is only $10. There is a brief reception at the Running Room in Churchill Square.
