Here are a few items I’ve had the chance to try lately and enjoyed. Spreading the word!

St. Ives Oatmeal Shea Butter Body Wash is a daily must now that skin-cracking weather and indoor heating is upon us. As a little aside, I celebrate Hanukkah, and growing up received eight gifts, one for each day, which when I turned into an adult, often included jumbo shower/bath gels (my mother had eight times four, so it’s understandable!). At this time of year, it reminds me of something that would have been wrapped  and placed under the fireplace, modern version.

Despite best efforts to wear gloves everyday, my hands still take a beating – but Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream (a classic), is helping to keep them from looking like I’ve been chopping down trees. It’s distinctively fragranced – I do like the scent! Avon Nail Experts Rose Cuticle Balm is a tiny, perfect item to throw in my purse makeup bag for ragged cuticle control.

Chanel Sparkle D’Or Levres Scintillantes Glossimer (Limited Edition for holiday 2011): Startingly gold in the tube, surprisingly it’s become one of my favourite makeup items lately. I wear it alone on bare lips as a neutral gloss. And to add a lively layer over neutral-ish lipsticks, like my Coco Rouge Mademoiselle (in this instance, I apply only to lower middle lip). Love it. You’ll see gold wand lip glosses in a range of other brands too.

Happy holidays!
