When it comes to motivation, I’m pretty high maintenance. I like to be part of a team, so that I’m depended upon to go to games and practices’I need more than a workout buddy, I need a whole team! Fitness can’t be repetitive for me, as I’m easily bored. And I have to feel good after the activity. Here’s a quick list of how I’ve kept fit

I play soccer, both indoor and outdoor. I also switch my position often, and have played everything from striker to goalie. I’ve also played ringette for years as well as ice hockey.

‘ I tried Cross-Fit Training, which was amazing because it really pushed my limits and made me physically stronger. SteelCityCrossfit.com is where I trained in Dundas, Ont.

‘ I’ve done boxing and kick boxing fitness classes (at www.johnsavidis.com and www.joslinskarate.com). Both were great at getting the heart rate up.

Indoor rock climbing was great fun. And I was pretty surprised at how easy it was to learn. Now I just have to try climbing outdoors.

‘ I ran the Mud Run a couple years back. The 10K adventure race had me running through a conservation park. To get to the finish line, we had cross a mud pit, where many of the runners lost their shoes!

My fitness motto is that I’ll try anything once. I’m looking for something new to try, so if you have any ideas let me know.
