Would you ever walk down the aisle’alone? That’s what a young Taiwanese woman is planning to do. According to Jezebel, Chen Wei-yih is going to marry herself in a wedding ceremony’white dress and all.

The 30-year-old career woman tells Reuter’s that while her work and her life are exactly as she wants them to be, she hasn’t found a partner. No big whoop, though. She adds, "It’s not that I’m anti-marriage. I just hope that I can express a different idea within the bounds of a tradition."

Preach, sister. You go on and marry your awesome self.

Now, I love the idea of a romantic coupling as much as the next gal, but, as Jezebel’s author point’s out, there aren’t really any ways for us to celebrate ourselves in adulthood unless we get hitched. But what about those who chose not to walk down the aisle? Doesn’t everyone deserve a gift registry at least once in their lives?

I’m really inspired by Chen’s decision to honour her self-love. What would you do to celebrate your awesomeness?
