Get a bikini-ready body

When new Toronto women’s club Elements offered me the chance to try their facilities for 30 days, I was thrilled. For one thing, I’m between gym memberships, and I’m still hunting for the right gym for me. For another, I’m five weeks away from a well-deserved trip to Mexico’and I need to go bikini shopping. (I’m actually lusting after the Stella McCartney bathing suit above.) Plus… well, let’s just say I had a very close relationship with a plum pudding and a pot of rum sauce over the holidays.
I went up to the club on the weekend to meet with their trainer, Jesseny Rojas, and work out a plan for the next four weeks. It’s a short time frame, to be sure, but you can accomplish a lot with a new program, as your body adjusts to it. And I’m prone to pretending my regular yoga sessions count as strength training. (They do! Right?) So Jesseny tested and measured me (she kept the numbers secret), and worked out my five-day-a-week fitness plan:
‘ Saturdays I meet with Jesseny for a killer strength session
‘ Sundays are for yoga (Hatha Flow is my preference on the weekend’I love Ian’s classes at the Yoga Sanctuary)
‘ Tuesdays are for a fitness class’tomorrow I’m trying out Spynga, but I’ll also try the Boot Camp and Cycle Fit classes at Elements
‘ Wednesdays are for yoga’I like to do Moksha after work
‘ And Fridays are the best day of all’Jesseny calls it "all about you!" day. She suggests humming your favourite song while out for a walk. If the weather’s nice, I’ll try to walk home (or at least partway) after work with my iPod plugged in.
What do you think? Will I be able to keep it up?
