Canadian cosmetic brand Lise Watier has packaged its summer collection called "Summer Sunset" in the jubilant fashion combo of orange and hot pink stripes. The collection features two eyeshadow palettes, a cool and a warm, including the one shown here  called Tropical (warm), which features neutral and bronze-y shades and a green. David Vincent, Montreal based International Makeup Artist for Lise Watier, popped in for a visit and gave some tips about how to wear green eyeshadow, one of his current favourite colours.

"We’re definitely in an era of different shades of green," says Vincent. "Any eye colour — blue, brown, hazel– can wear this particular green because it’s soft and there’s a bit of gold in it."

For an easy look, team it up with bronze eyeshadow. Try applying the green mainly in the the centre of the eyelid, aligned with the iris, says Vincent. For an edgier look, apply to inner corner of the eye.

Another Vincent tip:  With all the intense colour in clothing
this season, colour-blocking in particular, Vincent says,
"Don’t play the same card for clothes and makeup." Of course,
if wearing neutral clothes, "do ‘accessorize’ with makeup and go for a pop of colour."

The other eye palette (not shown) is Paradis (blue and purples) and here’s the neat thing:  The palette cases can be reused as a wallet or card case. $38, available in May.
