Here’s what’s caught my eye this week:

Chanel Le Vernis in Paradoxal. Every once in a while, a nail polish sparks a storm. Correction: Every once in a while, a Chanel polish sparks a storm. This fall, it’s a mysteriously alluring shade called Paradoxal, a smoky purple with a taupe-gray kick, and an element of chrome that makes it change in different lights and angles. $26

Hue corduroy leggings. These supersoft corduroys come in a rainbow of colours. And yes, black too. I’d hide "le bum" if I wore them, but for the bold and superfit, it’s a different fashion story. (Check out the Hue website, which links to a YouTube film of Hue Leggings on Broadway to see these cords in action.)  Available at the Bay; $45

Reversa UV Anti-spot Lightening Cream. Reversa, available in pharmacies across Canada, has announced that all its products have been made paraben-free. The star of its skincare lineup is this lightening cream, now in a 50 mL airless pump bottle. Its formula is based on glycolic acid and a vegetal extract of Rumex Occidentalis. $36. (Also watch for a holiday gift box set of Lightening Cream and Anti-spot Night Care; 50 mL each, for $45.95; regular value, $71.)
