  1. In a large saucepan coated with cooking spray, brown meat, onion and garlic.
  2. Add all ingredients except kidney beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for three hours.
  3. Add kidney beans and heat through. Remove bay leaf before serving.
