  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Using electric beaters, beat together butter and apple butter until well combined. Beat in sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, cranberries and pumpkin seeds. In another bowl, lightly whisk together applesauce, yogurt and apple. Using a wooden spoon, alternately stir dry ingredients and wet ingredi­ents into butter mixture, making three additions of the dry ingredients and two of the wet. Spread mixture evenly into 9x9x2-in. (2.5-L) parchment-paper-lined baking pan.
  3. Bake in centre of preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until it springs back when lightly pressed in centre. Let cool on rack. Cut into squares to serve. These can be frozen for up to four weeks.
