Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect and each year, about one out of every 100 babies born has a heart defect.

Luckily, the Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids here in Toronto is one of the world’s leading centres when it comes to the study and treatment of this common birth defect. Last year, the centre completed 636 paediatric heart operations and 12 heart transplants. Amazing!

This Valentine’s Day you can do something to support SickKids and the work that’s done at the centre. Here’s how:
