Okay, it’s not in a store near you yet, but the Ladybag is bound to be soon! Six women at Simon Fraser University designed this smart purse, which uses embedded sensors to detect whether your keys, mobile and other important items are missing (before you leave the house). It can also detect and display its owner’s emotions on a light-emitting diode (LED) screen on the bag, reports trendhunter.com. Talk about wearing your heart on your purse!

If you’ve ever raged in frustration as you dug for a missing wallet, key or cellphone, you’ll love this idea. Let’s face it: anything that reduces aggravation has got to be a good thing. After all, daily stress can have significant health impacts, including reducing your ability to fight infections such as human papillomavirus, according to a recent U.S. study. Until the Ladybag’s available, here’s another novel way to reduce stress: visit bagsnob.com, a favourite site of beauty editor Rhonda Rovan. She loves the YSL Downtown Bag.
