Over the long weekend, I broke my diet. There. I said it. Between movie popcorn and Rice Krispies squares, I was feeling some serious calorie guilt. Then, I stumbled upon a post that made my indulgence seem practically Weight-Watchers worthy: a list of the most harmful drinks in North America.
If you’ve ever looked at the sugar content on a drink and thought, “well, it doesn’t seem that bad,” this post is a serious wake-up call. It rounds up a few common beverages’energy drinks, bottled juices’and showcases them along with their sugar equivalent in junk food. The photos are pretty shocking.
Before you reach for that can of Rockstar Energy Drink, ask yourself if you’d rather have six Krispy Kreme glazed donuts, instead‘they carry the same amount of sugar. And a bottle of "healthy" SoBe Green Tea? You might as well have four slices of Sara Lee cherry pie.
