In the wake of yesterday’s devastating earthquake in Haiti,  U.N. secretary general Ban Ki-Moon is calling on the international community to aid the already impoverished nation.

A spokesperson for the International Red Cross says an estimated 3 million people need assistance, reports the Globe and Mail.

The Canadian Red Cross
is accepting donations to help provide medical care and supplies to victims.

Médecins Sans Frontières’ online donation form allows you to indicate that you’d like your funds to go directly to earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.

UNICEF Canada has been working in Haiti for 40 years. You can send a donation directly to the earthquake victims through their online donation form.

World Vision Canada has been working in Haiti for 30 years. They are accepting donations to help distribute emergency supplies to victims on the ground.
