In honour of Pride month, Under Armour has continued its partnership with Athlete Ally, a non-profit organization that educates and advocates for LGBTQ+ inclusion in the sports community. “Under Armour has always focused on making performance apparel for people, not labels,” says Attica Jacques, Head of Global Brand Management. “We’re proud to support the LGBTQ athletes who are part of our family, and wanted to create a collection that celebrates them and LGBTQ athletes all over the world.”

Dr. Martens fully embodies self-expression. That’s why it’s only fitting that the brand launch a 1460 unisex boot with a rainbow-striped print just in time for Pride month.

Nike

The iconic brand celebrates a major Pride icon in its 2019 BETRUE collection.

How Nike is supporting the LGBTQ+ community

In 1978, Gilbert Baker, a political activist and American artist designed the first-ever Pride flag. (The flag featured eight colours, as opposed to six that it presents today.) To honour Baker and celebrate his impact on the LGBTQ+ community, Nike partnered with the Gilbert Baker Estate to create this year’s BETRUE collection. From footwear, apparel to accessories, each product in the collection pays tribute to Baker’s original rainbow flag. The campaign will also feature well-known LGBTQ+ Nike athletes from around the globe.

This year, Nike will also support more than 20 organizations to advance the LGBTQ+ community.
