You may know her as Canada’s lone gold medallist at the 2012 Summer Olympics, but Rosie MacLennan is also a lover of pizza and chocolate, who dreams of returning to Fiji and is committed to mentoring young women in her community through Dove’s Girls Unstoppable campaign.
Learn a little bit more about her in this installment of “It works for me.”

Favourite sport to play other than trampolining: Wakeboarding, snowboarding, squash and frisbee. Anything outside!
Favourite sport to watch: Freestyle skiing, diving and big competitions.
Diet: Depends on the time of year. I listen to my body and what it wants. Dairy doesn’t always agree with me. I also go mostly gluten-free during training because of how my body reacts to it.
Go-to healthy snack: Broccoli with hummus and almond butter with apples or banana.
Favourite food indulgences: Pizza and chocolate.
Wine or beer? Depends on the day. I love a good glass of wine.
Coffee or tea? Coffee
Indoor or outdoor workouts? Always outdoors if I can.
Morning or evening workouts? Evening. My coach has us train from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Celeb crush: Ryan Gosling
Dream travel destination: Anywhere warm, with a beach and water. I’ve been to Fiji and I’d love to go back!
Healthy living philosophy: Follow your passions. It’s easy to let other things get in the way ‘ like how you feel about your body. If you keep your goals in mind, you can keep pushing towards them. That’s my outlook and how I live my life, and that’s why I support Dove’s Girls Unstoppable campaign.
