Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Unboxing
The highlighter life
What Fenty says: “Meet the magnetized longwear makeup sticks that come together in and a shade lineup to satisfy your every need: Shimmer Skinsticks highlight, blush, and enhance—so you can mix and match, magnetize and multiply.”
What Best Health says: “This is hands-down the easiest highlighter to use. It’s a dry, powdery application in a stick. Since it’s not soft or oil-based, unlike other highlighters, it doesn’t move on my skin. Where you put it is where it stays. The magnetic cap makes it easy for me to find in my purse too – that’s because it’s attached to my change and my keys.” – Lisa Hannam, web editor

What Fenty says: “Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick lets you highlight, blush, and enhance with its sick rainbow lineup: 10 universal colors that catch light in ways you never dreamed of. From low-key tangerine sheen to all-out violet iridescence, the longwear cream-to-powder formula is weightless, blendable, and LIVES to be layered.”
What Best Health says: “Whether your looking to highlight your high points or add a pop of colour to your cheeks, this weightless formula I found to be the perfect shade for my light complexion.” – Alyssa Ball | Assistant Digital Editor

A good foundation to stand on
What Fenty says: “A soft matte, long-wear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage, in a boundary-breaking range of shades.”
What Best Health says: “I really enjoyed this product. I shook the bottle and applied it to lightly moisturized skin with my finger. The product instantly went on evenly and smoothly. It also dried to the touch quite quickly, without buildup. I suggest using a base moisturizer to balance the skin before application for long wear. The colour is full, with warm orange undertones, which I always have great difficulty matching to my skin tone. Typically, I’m offered reds, or yellow undertones, which I then need to mask. This foundation easily functions as a base for every look and palate. I look forward to exploring the line further.” – Dorrette Bridge, advertising account manager
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in 390, $42 at sephora.ca.
What Fenty says: “A magnetized makeup stick in a long-wear, light-as-air, matte formula to conceal, correct, contour, and touch up skin in 20 shades.”
What Best Health says: “It really works. It’s better than the one I have in my makeup bag. It has a bit of a highlighter in it, which I was surprised to see. I really like it. And it’s not greasy at all. It is not leaving the skin and transferring on to your fingers when you touch your face.” – Lisa Snow, production manager

What Fenty says: “Unlike your everyday highlighter, Killawatt keeps skin lit beyond sundown with its weightless longwear formula—a cream-powder hybrid that instantly melts into skin and blends with almost zero effort. Another win: Its loaded with superfine shimmer for an ultra-smooth, creamy texture.”
What Best Health says: “This highlighter duo looks and feels great. It comes in a gorgeous pearl compact case, mirror including. I love the two tone shimmer and versatility of this product, which can be used as a highlighter or an shimmering eye shadow.” – Irena Koutcher, senior project manager

No if, and or blots
What Fenty says: “Lift away shine while leaving makeup perfectly untouched. Made with natural botanical fibers in the same expert technique as traditional Japanese paper, Invisimatte is as absorbent as it is silky smooth, with a continuous pinky-nude scroll that lets you choose your perfect-size sheet every time.”
What Best Health says: “Proof that all blotting papers are not made equal, this new release from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is a miniature design marvel. Packaged in the line’s signature hexagonal tube, the blotting papers are loaded on a continuous roll: Simply pull out the desired length of paper, and tear it off along the tubes serrated edge like you would a sheet of wax paper or aluminum foil. One panel on the tube is fitted with a small mirror so you can target your touch-ups while on the go.” – Brett Walther, web editor

Blondes have more fun
What Fenty says: “With a magnetic physical attraction, Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks click to each other, to their Matte Skinstick alter egos, and to their ultimate blending partner, the Portable Highlighter Brush 140. So mix, match, click ’em together and you’re set.”
What Best Health says: “I love Fenty Beauty. Rihanna did such a wonderful job expanding the color palette to complement a wide range of skin tones. My favourite is Fenty’s Match Stix in Blonde. They come in variety of different colors but this one really compliments my complexion. The quality is great, as is the size. I also find it to be super versatile, eye shadow and highlighter in one. Beautiful packaging, easy application and gorgeous shimmer – what’s not to like?” – Irena Koutcher, senior project manager

What Fenty says: “Finally—the ultimate photo filter in foundation form. Born in 40 boundary-breaking shades, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation gives skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin. Best of all, this longwearing, light-as-air texture is undetectable on skin—so you always look like you.”
What Best Health says: “I love the contouring. So easy to blend in and smells really nice. I am also using the foundation which has great texture and a light weight feel with amazing coverage, however, it’s quite difficult to get off. Great for being sweat proof but I had to bust out my serious makeup remover.” – Kimberley Le Sueur, head of digital advertising operations
