Consonant Skincare Gives Back to LGBTQ Students

Beauty that gives back? We can get behind that.

One of our favourite natural Canadian skincare brands, Consonant, has released a limited-edition lip balm in support of Pride Month. The lip conditioner is called Peace, Love, Lip ($9 at consonantskincare.com) and all proceeds go to support LGBTQ students through the Bill 7 Award Trust. (We bet you didn’t know these natural beauty brands were Canadian.)

Like the brand’s signature Organic Lip Conditioner, Peace, Love, Lip is 100 percent natural and formulated with over 60 percent sweet almond oil for long-lasting hydration. The limited-edition version has a hint of peppermint for summer freshness.

Bill 7 Award Trust is a registered charity founded in 1987 that awards scholarships to LGBTQ students who are in financial need and enrolled in post-secondary education.

“Being denied education is equivalent to being held back. By supporting Bill 7 Award Trust, we at Consonant Skincare are proud to be helping disadvantaged LGBTQ youth realize their full potential through continued education,” said Bill Baker, Consonant Founder.

This isn’t the first time Consonant has helped to raise funds for Bill 7 Award Trust. Last year, the brand released a Pride Bath Bomb in support.
