We've got the scoop.

If there’s one thing I’m craving 24/7, it’s coffee—specifically Starbucks. From spicy Chai Tea Lattes to cool Berry Hibiscus Refreshers, Starbucks is truly there for me all year round, no matter the craving. But if you’re anything like me and tend to count calories, you’ll find Starbucks drinks have a lot more to offer than just caffeine. But how good for you is your drink of choice?

Note: All calorie estimations are based on the Grande size.

Starbucks faves from most indulgent to least

Java Chip Frappuccino

Frappuccinos are the closest you can get to milkshakes at Starbucks, which makes them just as sugary. The Java Chip Frappuccino (with whip cream) has 470 calories, which is more than a Bacon McDouble from McDonald’s. (Craving a Unicorn Frappuccino? Here’s exactly how much sugar is in one.)

Vanilla Latte

The Vanilla Latte is a go-to, but it’ll cost you 250 calories. The good news? You can opt for sugar-free syrup, and you can also switch out the whole milk for skim, which will bring your calories down to 130.

Iced Caramel Macchiato

As much as we love caramel drizzle, it can pack a caloric punch. The Iced Caramel Macchiato (with 2 percent milk) clocks in at 250 calories, and this goes for the hot version, too.

Dirty Chai Tea Latte

The Dirty Chai Tea Latte is the same as a regular Chai Tea Latte, but with an espresso shot mixed in. You can enjoy the Dirty Chai at only 240 calories, and you can bring that sugar content down by asking for fewer Chai pumps. (A Grande usually gets four.)

Matcha Green Tea Latte

The Matcha Green Tea Latte is arguably the most unique Starbucks drink because of its bright green colour. It’ll cost you the same amount of calories as the Dirty Chai Tea Latte at 240. But matcha isn’t just a trendy treat, check out the health benefits of this tea.

Blonde Cappuccino

The cappuccinos at Starbucks aren’t sweet unless you make them sweet, which cuts your calorie intake to 120. (It can be lower if you decide against whole milk.) The blonde part of the Blonde Cappuccino is just a higher caffeine espresso, which contains next to no calories. Now that’s what we call good news.

Caffe Misto

In terms of calories, a Caffe Misto won’t cost you too many. For just 110, you can enjoy this creamy and bold mix of black coffee and steamed whole milk. It’s a surprisingly tasty pick-me-up.

Iced Coconutmilk Latte

If you love iced lattes but don’t need the extra sugar, the Iced Coconutmilk Latte is the drink for you. Coconut milk has different nutrients than standard milk, and you can grab a Grande size of this latte for only 90 calories. Yes, please!

Americano, Black

The Americano is essentially a black coffee that’s much higher in caffeine and 10 times fresher than what you’ll get from a coffee maker. A mix of hot water and espresso shots (3 in a Grande) makes this 15-calorie coffee a refreshing start to your morning. (Or evening, we don’t judge.)

Nitro Cold Brew

If you’re looking for caffeine at Starbucks, the Nitro Cold Brew is where you’ll find it. For only 5 calories, this drink will definitely jumpstart your day. Unfortunately, not all Starbucks locations offer the Nitro Cold Brew, but every location offers the regular Cold Brew Iced Coffee.

Dark Roast, Black

A black Dark Roast is about as healthy as you can get at Starbucks, containing a mere 5 calories. This is just a simple black coffee, and you end up burning that many calories just sitting at work, so feel free to indulge in all the plain coffee you’d like.
