I’ve been hearing a lot about CrossFit lately, and recently had the opportunity to try out the fitness trend. I attended a class at the Reebok CrossFit Liberty Village location here in Toronto, and boy, did I get a workout!

After initial introductions and a brief rundown of how to do each exercise, we started off with a short warm up.

Then, we got into the actual workout’which was actually only 10-minutes in length (but trust me, my body felt every one of those minutes in the days afterwards).

The 10-minute workout I completed was that day’s Workout of the Day (WOD), a term used in CrossFit to describe each day’s workout challenge. This WOD was circuit-style, where we completed 30 repetitions of an exercise before moving on to the next.

Called "The Dirty 30," here’s what the workout consisted of:
30 Box jumps
30 Jumping pull ups
30 Kettlebell swings
30 Walking lunges
30 Wall balls
30 Burpees

I conquered "The Dirty 30" in just under the 10-minute cut off time, and definitely felt a sense of accomplishment (and relief)!

Have you tried this workout style?
