I agree it all comes down to how much we consume and when. So be smart and don't eat too late in the day. Also you can have 2 glasses of water before a meal. This will curb your appetite and fill you up a bit. What I did was start a lifestyle change, which included a high-antioxidant meal replacement twice a day and then a normal dinner. I lost 40 lbs in 8 weeks and continue to maintain my figure. So it can be done.
I'm with Bryce. I too have a thyroid problem and I have been unsucessful losing weight even with going to a weight loss clinic. And seeing dieticians. It's not always about what where and how much one eats. Sad really that you should say that if all else fails maybe seek medical attention for health related issues such as hypothyroidism.
OK I am sorry but this needs to be said .
I always see these ads. about why one may be gaininging weight , What I do not see first and formost is any comment first about possible health related issues .
For example a Thyroid ( gland problem ) which can cause weight gain no matter how little you eat .
I lived that one .
There are other health issues That I do not know the names of .
The point is .If you are eating well and taking care of yourself , Before reading all thiese food / excercise / health mags, books , ads . see a doctor .
This has to be the worst article I have read, on anything, and I've read "the 50 worst articles" article. Nevermind all of them being senseless in education (eat less bacon, to lose weight? - duh!), but the last "tip" was the worst of all...
Of the top 3 best things to do in order to lose weight, the top two answers is NOT TO DRINK DURING A MEAL AT ALL, but rather 15 minutes afterwardsm giving your food time to digest and breakdown easier.. Now, they fool you into thinking they have the 'know-how' when it's a bunch of bollacks!
Want to lose weight?! --
Don't over eat. Cut down carbs. DO NOT drink with your meal. (15 minutes post-meal)
Now, THAT is the way an informative article should be.
Write that down.
