A forever process
I don't even know what to say... When I woke up this morning all I could think about was the scale and my photo shoot and how badly I wanted the scale to say 169 pounds for a total weight loss of 30 pounds. Guess what—I did it!!!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe it. I lost another three pounds this week and since the Challenge has started I've officially lost a grand total of 30 whole pounds!
I can't wait for my final photo shoot today. I really feel so proud. And guess what? I'm wearing my size 8 goal jeans to the shoot today. Sure, they may be a bit snug, but who cares—they actually do up!
The Best Health Challenge has really done wonders for me—it's changed my relationship with and understanding of food completely. I was very active in my past life so I totally embraced the physical aspect of this program. It's my relationship with the whens, wheres and whys of food that has undergone a total overhaul. The life coaching was also a very pleasant surprise—it's been so neat to be able to talk about my real feelings and goals with someone who is totally objective.
I still want to lose another 10 pounds or so—I would love to be in the 150s again; even 160 would be great. I'm just so happy that with a few simple changes, a positive attitude and perseverance I was able to make this happen. I was in such a rut before the Challenge and I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't started this journey with Best Health I would be UP 30 pounds after this summer, not down—I was just in a bad place and I couldn't get myself out of it. I'm so thankful for this support and experience—I promise that I will keep this up and I can't wait to get more fit and toned and healthy!
This never felt like a diet for one second, and if it feels like a diet to you, you're not doing it right. This is just about being aware of the energy you're putting into your body and balancing it with the energy you're expending every day. This is about BALANCE... body, mind and spirit, and I really feel like I'm finally starting to get it. Thank you for going on this journey with me. I hope you continue to work toward your goals as will I. This is a forever process—it doesn't end when the Challenge ends. Good luck and thanks to Best Health for one of the most positive and rewarding experiences of my life. I will never forget this! Now... time to get to the photo shoot. Wish me luck! XO
