After finding out what's in MANY different products I have switched to all organic made ones.
There is so much unhealthy GARBAGE and chemicals in sunscreen I'd never use it!
Stick to truly "natural" sunscreens, but be careful there are many that pull the wool over your eyes and say they're 'natural' because of a few botanical ingredients, make sure you read what's in them before putting them onto your skin.
I'm sure there are plenty more brands out there but I've only found Kiss My Face and Green Beaver to sell chemical free sunscreen.
Do like they did fir centuries before sunscreen. Don't buy into all the hype Just keep well moisturized don't strip all your natural skin oils with harsh soaps, wear colognes or perfumes, eat fresh fruits and veggies, wear a wide brimmed hat, wear light cool 100% cotton clothing, forget the synthetic fabrics in all seasons, as your skin can't breathe! I've been telling everyone since it came out, that it was just a new money making product that is more harmful than if you don't use it. Skin cancers have not decreased with it's use. I've been tanned since an infant and have not and will not ever use any man-made weird product that is supposed to keep you healthy. Bull! This world is full of so many suckers!
I've seen many articles here and generally like them. This one, wow, a touch on the obvious but then goes to sandalwood paste.... give me a break! Yes, I can wear a hat or long sleeve shirt, stay in the house or even stand under a tree or umbrella blah blah blah....yeah common sense or perhaps a healthy suggestion to those without commom sense... but sandalwood...give me a break! Perhaps just cover myself in mud or wear a wetsuit should have been another alternative!
I cringe when I see people still out sunworshipping, those days are over kids. However you have to be careful with sunscreen too. I work in a doctor's office and I have seen serious chemical burns from improper use of sunscreen. NEVER put it on skin that has already burned and NEVER mix it with any other lotion.
Wow , I'm not the only one who may wonder that if sunscreen is strong enough to block sun rays, What is is doing to your skin. It has to be absorb in the skin and then what....years down the road they are going to say that we shouldn't have used it. Like everything else (food, meds ...). If at the present time they are making money with products or research. I think that's all they care about. "money" well now that;s a whole ther subject, it really rules the world ;)
