Do you have a harmful habit to break?

Some of the makeup, hair and skincare habits we’ve had ever since we can remember are innocent enough, but may bear rethinking—such as shampooing every day. Others are potentially harmful. Do you recognize yourself in any of these?

I do the "unthinkable" sometimes - sleep w/make up on....just too tired (although I DO always clean my teeth!. I hate myself when I do it - maybe I should invest in some wipes. Mind you, I've given up foundation, so that's not as bad. This is strange, when I leave my eye makeup on, I find, instead of getting irritation, my eyes are much more less "baggy" than when I remove it - strange.

Regarding hair, since changing to a natural shampoo and cond. which doesn't lather my hair is so great and I don't have to wash for 4 or 5 days. My colour lasts so much longer too. Saves time and what a difference!

Melissa- I also have curly hair! Instead of washing my hair, I rinse it in the shower and use a moisturizing conditioner on a daily basis. That way, most of the product comes out and my hair and scalp is not dried out by shampoo!

What do you suggest for people who have to put a lot of hair products in their hair like I do. I have naturally curly hair, and if I don't put a lot of mousse in my hair it goes really frizzy and looks awful. My hair is dry and I always use a moisturizing and repairing shampoo, but it doesn't seem to matter.

AHAs are found in apples and other fruits. Not sure about retinoids and what they come from. People make the mistake thinking that natural will be always safe..not so. Orange or lemon oil on your skin for instance can cause painful burns if you go out in the sun. The rule is check things out...not all natural things are safe and unnatural unsafe.

They recommend chemical exfoliants over scrubs? Since when is dumping chemicals all over your face HEALTHY?
