5 health mistakes Santa makes

Santa makes some health decisions that are more naughty than nice. Make sure you avoid these unhealthy behaviours

He eats too many cookies and drinks too much milk - 5 health mistakes Santa makes

He eats too many cookies and drinks too much milk

A chocolate chip cookie is between 70 and 120 calories, on average. Imagine the number of calories Santa consumes in the 132 million homes he visits on Christmas Eve (in addition to saturated fat, salt and sugar). All those glasses of 2% milk don’t help either—they contain too much saturated fat.

Want to help Santa out? Give him unsweetened soy milk or one percent milk instead. For a snack, choose a healthier homemade option over cookies.

REALLY PEOPLE? ... THIS ARTICLE IS ABOUT EVERYBODY'S HEALTH, AND SANTA IS JUST A PRETEXT.

Sympaticio, (or The Loop)

Why are you picking on Santa? I'm really dissapointed in not only this article but especially in your site promoting it. I'm all for those wanting to make changes in their lives to ensure a healthy lifestyle, but why Santa?! He embodies the spirit and love that is Christmas (besides the religious side of it of course) and for you guys to try to dismantle that because you don't agree with "his lifestyle choices" is ridiculous! What kid (or any adult with an ounce of sense) looks at this and says "Santa is fat and overworked, I want to be JUST like him!" ?

In my opinion to pick on Santa is to pick on the spirit of Christmas itself. I can't believe how disgusted and upset I am at you guys about this. I think I may have to find another site to get my news/information. I have posted the article to facebook as well showing my dissapointment with you all.

I'd wish you a Merry Christmas, but you've already suck the joy out of it. :(

Santa is not real so whatever he eats and looks like does matter to him. What a ridiculous article about a fictious character.

Serioiusly, now you're thinking about what's good or isn't good for our dear old Santa? He's a childs fantasy figure for gosh sakes . . leave him alone!

Are you guys for real?

I have never seen a more retarded commentary than this.

Whose benefit is this for your own guilt or for that of the 4 and 5 year olds who might think they can live like Santa with no consequences. Then they could blame your column for not reporting the health risks of eating like Santa.

Shouldn't some if not all of the responsibility fall on there parents to teach them the difference.

I think we live in a retarded world nowadays, and if these people are that stupid then fine let them die and remove them from the gene pool.

REALLY? This was the top headline for today? Santa's 5 biggest health mistakes? Can't you heathens just let Santa be and let the kids have their fun? Couldn't you have just picked something practical like"Things to Avoid During the Holidays"?

Thanks for ruining Christmas and the spirt of Santa for us!!

May be its time this guy goes on a diet its time to change his profile and showing him setting the example kids look up to him he can contribute.

Go away, its Christmas

This article is so so sad. Attempting to make changes to a childhood hero who has existed for hundreds of years.
Leave Santa alone - let him remain exactly the way he is. Children need one good memory of something that is consistent and remains the same.

For a guy who supposedly has a whole bunch of so-called bad habits, he looks to be in pretty good shape. Let's see how long this writer will be on this world. I guarantee it won't be as long as Santa. Leave the guy alone or yo will get a lump of coal in your stocking.
