Tropical Fruit Smoothie
Not only is soy milk delicious, it may lower the risk of cancer recurrence.
1/4 cup (60 mL) fresh or canned pineapple chunks
1/4 cup (60 mL) fresh mango chunks
2 fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
1 cup (250 mL) plain low-fat soy milk
1 Tbsp (15 mL) lime juice
A 2009 study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association followed breast cancer survivors for up to seven years, and found that those who consumed up to 11 grams of soy per day had a 32 percent lower risk of disease recurrence. Try this for breakfast:
