Ginger-Peach Smoothie
What could possibly taste better right now than fresh peaches? They have such a delicious flavour it feels almost decadent to eat them, yet a small one has just 50 calories. We've blended up peaches with the smooth taste of rice drink and the zest of disease-fighting ginger. Enjoy!
1 cup (250 mL) unsweetened rice drink
2 cups (500 mL) peach slices (peeled, or skin on)
1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground ginger
Handful of ice cubes
A little honey (optional)
Blend all ingredients together.
Serves two.
Per serving: 97 calories, 2 g protein, 2 g fat (0 g saturated fat), 21 g carbohydrates, 2 g fibre, 0 mg cholesterol, 63 mg sodium
