Here are a few more ways to cut back on salt. Use garlic powder and not garlic salt, buy salt reduced bacon & cold cuts, you'll never know the difference. And buy a spice mix that contains no salt, such as salt-free steak spice, it's delicious & you'll never miss it. And don't forget that condiments such as ketchup, steak sauce, soya sauce, & teriyaki sauce contain a lot of salt.
The "no salt" diet needs to disappear.
We need salt in our diet. There was a time when salt had high value as a diet supplement, and encouraging
people to go on a no salt diet does them a disservice and can be bad for health - particulariy if they sweat a lot or are doing athletics.
