My personal favorite is Vector bars...has all the vitamins and minerals required.
Nice to know what others do, but after all, you have to try different combinations to find YOUR perfect pre-workout snack. Depending on the intensity of your activity, you may want to eat an hour before you workout orelse things may end up coming back up!
It is recommended to combine carbs and proteins for effective assimilation of the nutrients to keep you energized throughout your physiscal activity.
My favourite pre-workout snack is a small serving (4 table spoons) of whole grain pasta with a tiny dish of stew about one hour prior to a workout.
Although it is nice to have other individuals' opinion on what to eat before a workout, I was expecting something a little more factual or scientific. Although peanut butter is high in protein, the fact content is much greater. Logically, it does not appear to be a great idea. I am also curious why a simple meal replacement like ensure or boost was not chosen. On average, it's 250 calories and provides 30% of almost all vitamins and minerals required for the entire day. Regardless, I did learn a thing or two.
