The definition you give that a free radical is a cell which tries to repair itself by draining other cells is absolutely incorrect. A free radical has to do with a missing valence electron, often a lone proton with no electron (H+). The anti-oxidants prevent those atoms from oxidizing (gaining an electron) from your cells, because they get their electron from the anti-oxidant.Such a glaring error on a health website is a big deal. I can't trust any information you have here, since you didn't fact check something so basic.
Actually, strawberries are a goitrogen and are bad for those with hypothyroidism.
Ah yes it's strawberry season and the growers have to put a spin on their product. All fruit and vegetables have those benefits. One reason why you should add strawberries to your diet is to help the farmers who make a living at this. Why dont they just come out and say that....
