I agree that visuals do not give reader much of an idea on what the actual portion size is.

The cheese shown in this piece is very close to actual size and if you pick up the November/December issue of Best Health, you'll see the cheeses in actual size to use as a reference point. this article would be much more valuable to people if you gave them a size they could relate to. Few of us carry a scales with us to tell us what 33 gr is. however something like the size of an egg or a 1 inch cube would be much more helpful.
