Tell us: why did you join the Vichy Best Health Challenge? What are you aiming to achieve?

Make 50 fabulous!

I turned 50 last August. Before I turn 51, I'd like to trim about 35 pounds. I eat healthy food, but too much of it. I need to learn to pare back my eating to appropriate portion sizes. I also need to build my exercise regime. I already play soccer and ultimate frisbee, but I need to incorporate more regular daily exercise. I registered for a 5K yesterday. Preparing for it should help, so will my Wii CardioBox program and exercise videos. Even though the primary goal is weight loss, it's not about appearance with me. I just want to get my body strong and fit and healthy.

I joined the challenge as I want a place where I can be accountable for my commitment. At 55 I notice that although not technically overweight I have belly fat that I would like to get rid of. I am a 6 year survivor of a Left Frontal Lobe Meningioma, completly removed :). My seizure medication and surgery has left me with the problem of staying commited to anything for any length of time. It is work to push myself. I was always active still am but not to the point of getting rid of my" chub chub". So here goes cheers everyone to a new us:)

I joined because my energy has been rather low lately, and I don't feel as if I'm in as good enough shape as I should be in.

My health is why I joined. I am so tired of just being tired. I need to lose the weight in order to become more mobile and to play with my grandson.

What's your challenge?

I joined the VBHC in order to be accountable for my health. This website offers exercise regimens, healthy recipes, as well as other helpful tools. I have all of the tools, I just need to DO IT:)) No more excuses...

I entered this challenge to give myself the motivation to get in better shape and to lose a few pounds along the way.

I chose to join because, I've been feeling kind of blah. I've gained a few pounds and have low energy. I thought this would be a great way to motivate me to make some positive healthy changes! Now I'm off to do my first work out!

My Challenge

My challenge is to get back into a healthy shape, and to use a healthier lifestyle to improve some of my health problems. I am still pretty young at 23, but I don't fell as great as I should. I need to loose weight and gain strength to get my vitality back.

My challenge is much the same as many others. Get healthy, by eating better and working out more. I also want to learn a more healthy way of living. I am very concerned about what is in our food and everyday household products. So I am trying to become more aware of what I eat and what I use!!

Why Did I join the Vichy Best Health Challenge

46 and trying to stay as healthy as possible is always a challenge! Really enjoy reading the stories that others have been sharing.

I believe it is always best to have a strong support team around to help. I recently joined the Kingsway Etobicoke Running Room as I was interested in understanding the psychology of training for a running race. I am so impressed with the support and encouragement I have received from the team that I am in the middle of training for my first half marathon. These are my baby steps toward a bigger goal of participating in a triathlon in the not so distant future.

I have joined The VICKY Challenge as I hope to be further motivated myself by the many who share my health-related goals and objectives and possibly inspire others as well.

Thanks for giving us this new venue to share and exchange ideas. Healthier body = a fabulous look with a health mind! Special note that my Rosacea is completely dormant thanks to VICHY products and a healthier lifestyle.

I chose to join this challenge because it sounded like a fun way to keep my healthy lifestyle going. I was hoping that i could lose a few stubborn pounds, and tone up!

My Challenge

I'm 55 now and need help and guidance in all aspects. I used to eat very healthy, used to look after my skin faithfully and would exercise on a fairly regular basis. Now, I do nothing of those anymore. Health issues have reared their ugly heads. My husband is a very big red meat eater and won't try anything else. I don't have the strength to do 2 different meals. Quite often, I'll just end up not eating at all. So this is a huge issue for me. Of course, my skin care routine needs a definite change and boost.

My Challenge

I have just turned 50 and I am looking forward to reaching my goal weight of 160. I am also on a mission to look my best, be healthy and fit! I am tired of being an observer in life and not a participant because my weight inhibits me from doing the things that I know I would love! So, this is my challenge - to be fit - to run at least one 5k by next spring, to take time out for myself instead of always putting myself last and to live a healthy lifestyle!!

My Challenge

I too am looking to change my approach to life. I want to feel healthier, have more energy, and lose the weight I've been carrying around for too long. I am starting slowly- just trying to cut out the useless things that I seem to be addicted to, like chips and chocolate! And add in exercise as I can. I really don't want to add more stress while I'm trying to figure this all out, so slow and steady will be my challenge as I'm not a very patient person.

My challenge is to get better at dance. Now that I am 45 years old, I feel that I have spent most of my fitness life caring for others needs, and now I want to improve my dance skill, improve my husband's fitness, and lose a couple of pounds.
