What's it take to be healthy?
I have been thinking about this a lot!
There are lots of ideas out there, but I have come to a conclusion!!
'If I always do what I've always done, I'll always have what I've always had!'
In other words I need to CHANGE! What I have been doing for years hasn't been working for me, yes it is comfortable and familiar, but it doesn't help me to be healthy.
Whenever I get discouraged I remember this!!
It gives me the courage to go on, to plan my weekly meal plans, to head to the gym for a workout early in the morning before I go to work, to take time to care for me!!!!
So friends CHANGE is my battle cry cause I am fighting my comfort zone!!
Join me in the battle - move from your comfort zone and embrace the CHANGE that you know you need to make!!

Comfort zone
Agreed - stepping out of your comfort zone is essential to making a difference! I just ran my second ever 10K today, and it is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I believe that I am on my way to making positive progress towards my goals - Yay! There's nothing like the post-race feeling!
Zumba
So this week I stepped waaaaayyyyyy out of my comfort zone and went to my first Zumba class by myself! It was at a different gym than the one I go to so I had a new gym and a new class to deal with. I was very intimidated but I heard that Zumba was a great workout and lots of fun - so after trying numerous times to get someone to go with me I finally went alone last night.
I am happy to say that I followed through and while it was tough I had a lot of fun! I will go back and like every other class I have to give it time to learn the moves. See I really am uncoordinated and I have no rhythm, but I did have fun!!
The moral of this story is - move outside your comfort zone cause it really is okay!! And you may find something you love and you may meet new people to boot :-)
