Stress
Hi Susan,
My life is busy, sometimes I find myself getting overwhelmed with my full time career , 3 children under 6 and a home to take care of. I find myself raising my voice at my family, something I promised myself I would never do. Do you have any suggestions on how I can handle my stress better?
Breathing
We don't pay attention to our breathing...it is the foundation of life...and when life gets moving too fast, I've always found that taking just a moment...even at stop lights, to actually pay attention to the breath going in though my nose, deep into my lungs, and back out though my nose really, really grounding. Meditation doesn't have to be all consuming, just breath. Has helped me keep my sanity through 3 kids, divorce, addiction, teenagers, college, heath problems, and regular worldly woes.
Great Advice
Breathing..sounds easy, I will try that technique tonight as I drive home from school, decompress from a crazy day of jk/sk and get ready for my 3 monkeys and our special time together in the evening during our walk.
Great Advice
Hi Sherrie,
I was thinking of mindful meditation while walking. It's pretty much the same thing as the breathing suggestion. I talk an evening walk with husband - it's "our" time - always relaxing and enjoyable. Good luck!
