Breakfast
Patty - July 30, 2010 - 10:24
Breakfast has always been hard for me. However, I have made it part of my daily routine and find that it does help me to make it through the day and eat less.
Usually I have yogurt, oatmeal and fresh or frozen berries. I am finding that it keeps me going and fueled for the day. If I go to the gym first thing I have a banana before I go and have my breakfast after. Sometimes I will have a yogurt, protein and fruit smoothie in the summer and have even put my oatmeal in my smoothie and blended it - it works and is yummy!!

Breakfast
I was so regimented when feeling good the last time, I always have my Oatmeal and fruit, and coffee, and water. Finding trouble this time, as sometimes my son drops of a cinnamon-raisin bagel. Not good, but hate to offend, even though I have asked him not too. Maybe I should enjoy feeding to the birds, instead of myself...but soooo good.
Breakfast
Always start my day with a big breakfast - as the saying goes : a king's breakfast, a prince's lunch and a poor man's supper.
So important
Breakfast is a rush everymorning during the school year. I find I must be "super" organized in order to get all three little ones fed as well as myself. I keep containers of raisins, dried fruit and oatmeal bars in my car to help me drive past the drive thru's! I also have a weakness for Latte's! Any advice?
Congrats
Congrats Sherri on being able to be super organized. That is such a plus. I used to be able to do that, but not the past year. Don't beat yourself up on the one small thing. You are managing this for yourself and with three little ones as well. Good for you girl. I always have to have my coffee too first thing, and that was one thing I could not give up.
lattes
I don't think lattes are so bad - but are you putting sugar in them? I always have mine unsweetened and then if I'm having a really bad day or really bad sugar craving I'll get them with syrup, no more than a few times a month. I find lattes do become a habit though and sometimes I get them even when I don't really want them, I'm just used to stopping at the coffee shop, or I just need an afternoon break. Waste of money! Does that happen to you?
Breakfast
I am not a morning person so even without making the time to exercise I still sometimes find it difficult to fit in breakfast. Most mornings I eat fruit in the car on the way to work. I have an emergency stash of rice crackers and vegetable juice at work. It keeps me going when I have overslept or missed lunch.
breakfast
Sometimes I'll pack yogurt and berries the night before in a to-go container, then throw in some muesli in the morning and bring it to work. Then even if I'm not hungry right away, I can pick away at it and I know I'm having something healthy.
Breakfast
I work out first thing in the morning before the kids get up. I don't eat until after my workout (is this really bad???). I get in a quick shower and get breakfast ready before they wake. Knowing that I've worked out keeps me motivated to eat a good healthy breakfast. I love cereal so I've been eating Kashi cereals with lots of fiber and protein. That along with fresh fruit and yogurt keep me going.
