One thing I remember my Mom always saying was that a cotton pillowcase would cause wrinkles. She told me that I should always sleep on a satin pillowcase. My Mom always had beautiful skin and she lived into her late 80's.
My hair stylist told me the same thing. She said that cotton is naturally absorbent and that it draws out the moisture that your skin needs to be healthy. She also said that your face gets stuck in one spot during the night and that's why you wake up will those pillowcrease and lines on your face.
I found a website that had a page devoted to the benefits of sleeping on satin. The company is A Touch Of satin and their website is http://www.atouchofsatin.com. If you want to read what they have to say. They did have some beautiful satin pillowcases as well.
Great article, as ALWAYS!
