Forget the foreplay. A poll of 1,300 moms by Parenting Magazine found that 15 percent of women get hot and bothered by “choreplay” – a.k.a. watching their partners lend a hand with the housework. Watching their men don an apron or Swiffer the kitchen floor didn’t rank quite as high as more traditional aphrodisiacs like being brought flowers, but the third-place ranking isn’t too shabby.

According to a Canwest News Service report, these survey results confirm a pair of studies that found that women whose husbands pitch in around the house report better emotional wellbeing and find their husbands more attractive.

Personally, I don’t find these results all that shocking either. Men—take over some of the burden of laundry and grocery shopping and cleaning up after dinner and we’re guaranteed to have energy left over to put that feather duster and washing machine spin cycle to use in ways they certainly weren’t intended.

Now that’s a guy who understands what women really want.
