Should insurance companies use Facebook to investigate health claims?
No. It is completely unfair for insurance companies to use Facebook as a method of checking out a claim by a client. first off, how do they know WHEN those photos were taken? they could have been taken BEFORE the claim came about, and not posted until later (which I am always forgetting to post pictures as they are current). Secondly, the insurance company should have to contact the client and ask them to have proof that they still need the claim, not just assume based on some pictures of someone smiling when they are on long term disability for depression.
