Raw food until dinner
I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to think of ways to eat more vegetables, healthy monounsaturated fats, beans and whole grains. After all, we know these can fight disease. Plus, realistically I know that I might be having mac n’ cheese with the kids at night. (With baby carrots and cucumbers on the side, naturally!)

So, I was inspired when I read about Zoë Sakoutis in my favourite décor mag, Domino. She’s developed a meal plan that encourages raw eating during the day, so you can indulge in cooked foods in the evening.

Today for lunch, I’ll be in enjoying orange-pepper strips with hummus, walnuts and an apple. That’s a big improvement over my usual takeout turkey sandwich! I’ve been enjoying similar lunches for the past month now and find them surprisingly filling.

I’d like to bring in this yummy crunchy nut coleslaw one day, too.

What do you do to eat healthier?

Lisa, I'm TOTALLY on board with you. During work I eat raw peppers, carrots, cucs, berries and avacado with my juice and sandwich. But I live with my boyfriend and he LOVES to cook (and I love it). Zoê's plan is ideal for my lifestyle--especially since I enjoy raw veggies every moment I can! I'm so glad to hear others eat this way as well.
