Some people purchase the large sized bottle, and drink out of the bottle. The oral flora that enters the contents would probably be equal or more significant.
you people mentioning fluoride, think of it this way; the bottles of water you buy are also leaching chemicals into the water that will cause cancer. the big hullaballoo about those hard plastic bottles carries over to an extent into the soft plastic ones as well. water has a best before date - i always just assumed it was because it was bottled in plastic. it's a matter of what's the risk factor for you, water that you know is contained in something that leaches cancer causing chemicals and has a high likelihood of containing excess bacteria, or water that is likely to contain fluoride and some bacteria. i've always thought the concept of consistently drinking bottled water is ridiculous. another problem with purified water is that it typically lacks any mineral content, also making tap water better for you as another nutrient source
I think this may be a ploy to get the public to stop buying bottled water. The problem with tap water is that in most instances, it contains floride which causes cancer..
Its our damn choice, why do you fail to mention the startling amounts of fluoride in the American tap water system? I can feel that bottled water is wasteful and people are irresponsible with their disposal of the named items, but really its like the tobacco companies saying there are high amounts of nicotein in their cigarettes.
Backup up the information with hard facts:
- 70 % of how many bottles?? 10??
- brands -- how many from each brand
- bacteria -- what type -- details
NOT ENOUGH HARD FACTS - who is trying to make the public panic? sensationalism??
