I've tried lots of different natural toothpastes. I focus on toothpastes with Xylitol instead of fluoride. Right now I'm using one a friend of mine got from Melaeuca that has tea tree oil. When I went for my last dentist appointment, I was supposed to have a couple of small fillings. I saw a new holistic dentist that is part of the team. He said that I didn't need any fillings! I'm not sure if that is because of the toothpaste or because he had a different opinion than the original dentist that said I needed the fillings. I was just happy to not have to get any fillings.
Hi, I lead the marketing at Kiss My Face and read your blog entry about our toothpaste. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation to your readers. I'd never been picky about toothpaste until I found out I was pregnant. One of the many flavour aversions I suddenly developed was to mint. Imagine how much fun it was to be my minty paste-covered toothbrush, as I battled morning sickness and tried to gingerly clean my teeth without activating my already over-active gag reflex. I soon discovered the joy of alternative toothpaste flavours, my favourite of which are made by Druide, and sold at most health food stores. They've got yummy banana, cinammon, anis and even a very light lemon-mint that didn't upset my delicate tummy. And after I got over the morning sickness I decided to stick with my new toothpaste because of its certified organic ingredients -- better for me, and the baby, I figure.
