I remember Home Hardware used to take them...
I would like to drop off somewhere too... or like printer cartridges they should supply postage paid baggies. I've got a whole bag and I do not want to pay shipping. :(
If only there was a drop off place. It costs me to BUY the filters, and it costs me to MAIL the filters to recycle. Those things aren't light, and Canada Post won't go green on you and lessen the shipping fees. More cost efficient for me to just throw them into the garbage - as bad as that sounds!
This is great information! I bet there are more things that are recyclable but we just don't know it. Wouldn't it be great if there was a place that listed everything that was recyclable and we could just drop them off - I think more people would make the effort. Especially if it was conveniently at some grocery stores, staples or drug stores where you buy these thing. eg. Batteries, cell phones, toner cartridges and now brita filters. Thanks again for the info, Juanita
