Dresses made of toilet paper?
Dresses made of toilet paper?

It sounds odd, but it's true—for the third year in a row, Canadian fashion designers have teamed up with Cashmere bathroom tissue to produce a collection of couture made entirely of toilet paper.

Why? Well, for one thing, it's a bit of a challenge. But the primary goal was to raise awareness of breast cancer and to celebrate women. The dresses this year aren't just white, but incorporate Cashmere's new limited-edition pink paper as well (25 cents from each package sold goes to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation). And they're pretty!

Want to see more? The 2008 dresses are on display at The Bay on Queen Street (in the windows at Yonge and Richmond) in Toronto for three weeks starting tomorrow, and you can see the 2007 collection in Montreal at The Bay on St. Catherine St. (the windows on De Maissonneuve) for four weeks, starting tomorrow. You can also browse photos at cashmere.ca.
