What do you think about sugar? Granted I love it, or rather I love the foods that are made with sugar. I limit myself to one some days two treats a day’although I should cut back.

For example, if I grab a coffee or tea on my way into work, I have a mental conversation with myself: Should I have my dose of sugar now, or do I save it for later in the day? I really don’t mind coffee or tea unsweetened so I really do think of it as a treat. FYI: a six-gram packet of sugar has 23 calories.

Once I had an unbearable head cold and after a family doctor told me to wait it out, I read that eating sugar actually weakens the immune system. I did quit my habit for two weeks, and it was actually a lot easier than I thought’the motivation to get well was enough. It’s even recommended to be cut out of your diet to stave off diseases.
