Maybe no one wants to be nagged, but the truth is, some automated nagging could help you reach your health and fitness goals.

A study published in the June issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, as reported on Medline Plus, shows that regular emails suggesting small, doable healthy lifestyle tweaks can be an effective means of helping people change their habits.

The theory is that the emails worked because they were convenient, easy to follow and tailored to make gradual changes to an individual’s particular habits’for instance, a reminder to order extra vegetables on a pizza, or take the kids to the playground in the evening instead of staying home.

What do you think? Would this kind of program work for you? Would you enjoy receiving emails like this?
