Fitness: Would you do a jogging city tour?

I recently returned from a 10 day vacation in Europe. While I was there my accommodations consisted of boutique hotels and a French chateau (for the wedding I was attending). Needless to say, a hotel gym was not available. While I did A LOT of walking in the 10 days I was in Europe, it wasn’t quite the same as hitting the gym. I did manage to squeeze in a few runs though, which was a great way to see the neighbourhood.

I’ve also recently come across a company called Prettygirl City Tours which offers jogging tours in addition to walking tours. This particular tour company is based in New York City, with tours being $18 per person.

From their website:
"You haven’t heard of a jogging tour before? It’s something like a walking tour, but a little faster. We aren’t out to win any races, but our tours are meant to be taken in sneakers. Picking up the pace lets us cover more ground! We limit group size so that everyone can hear what’s going on and stay challenged, and no one is left behind."

Another great way to stay active on vacation? A bike tour. Check out Pedal and Sea Adventures which offers bicycling tours all over the world.

What about you? Do you keep up with your workout regimen while on vacation? Would you do a jogging tour in order to get some exercise while seeing the sights?
