These days beauty companies are constantly introducing new ways to showcase our nails.

Whoever thought that woolly textures would come into play in a nail polish? Not me – but recently I got to try two different collections from Sally Hansen that do just that: Sugar Coat and Fuzzy Coat.

Candy-colour Sugar Coat polishes reminded me of Sour Patch candy. My favourites are Sweetie (a pale yellow) and Sour Apple (a mint green).

As for Fuzzy Coat polishes, while I won’t go so far as to say it’s like your nails are wearing a sweater, you can feel and see a little texture once it dries. Apply two coats for the full fuzzy effect. Or, use on top of any regular favourite colour. I like the multi-couloured All Yarned Up layered over Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear nail colour in Peach Beach.

These cute polishes are perfect for lazy days at the beach and summer barbecues. They also act as great loot bag goodies for a baby or bridal shower. ($8)
