I once read that the Taj Mahal was built as a sign of love from an emperor to his queen, so it was only natural for me to be intrigued by Lise Watier Taj Mahal gold powder in its beautiful atomizer, from Watier’s India Gold summer 2013 collection.

When I realized it dispensed shimmery dust, though, I was a bit wary.  From past experiences ‘ and as many of you would agree ‘ anything that involves glitter and sparkles makes a mess. To my delight, the product not only went beautifully and smoothly, it was tidy too.

The vintage-esque atomizer bottle made it extra-fun to apply. It dispensed just the right amount of dust per pump allowing room for a gradual build up. I applied it to décolleté and shoulders, and it gave my skin a soft-shimmer glow.

Whether you’re being escorted down the aisle along the beach, head banging at an outdoors music festival or just dancing the night away with your girlfriends, the Taj Mahal Powder could become your must-have secret beauty weapon for the summer. I know I’ll be unleashing my inner beauty queen with it. ($29)
