May 31—June 1: Sunshine Coast 7th Annual Rat Race

June 1:22nd Annual Panorama Classic Triathlon and Duathlon
North Saanich: Presented by the Peninsula Runners, the triathlon consists of a 500m swim, 32K cycle and an 8K run, while the duathlon is a 2K run, 32K cycle and a 7K run.

June 7–13:Atlin Meanderings — Women’s Yoga Kayak Journey
Atlin Provincial Park: A weeklong getaway to reconnect with a most important person — our self.

June 8:9th Annual Edge 2 Edge Marathon
Vancouver Island: This annual event features a marathon, half-marathon and relay through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

June 12–16:Paradise Found Yoga Silent Retreat
Salt Spring Island: This particular retreat is meditative, soulful, powerful and challenging, as your entire retreat experience is done in virtual silence. Your senses and awareness will be heightened.

June 22:10th Annual Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K
Vancouver: Join the half-marathon or five-kilometre run to raise funds for charity.

June 29:Iron Mountain Triathlon
Maple Ridge: Featuring half the distance of an Iron Race, this triathlon consists of a 2K swim, 90K cycle and a 21K run. There will also be a Sprint Triathlon of an 800m swim, 20K cycle and a 5K run.

July 11–13:The 10th Anniversary International Howe Sound Outrigger Race
Gibsons: A water-pulling weekend.

July 12:Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run & 30M
Vancouver: This 20th annual race will cover 30 miles from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove.

Aug 3:Self-Transcendence Triathlon/Duathlon – 2008
Victoria: The 29th Annual Triathlon is the longest running triathlon in Canada. Both it and the 18th Annual Duathlon are part of the 2008 Provincial Race Series.

Aug 8–9:Stormy
Squamish: A 50-mile ultramarathon and relay and a 100-mile ultramarathon.

Sept 5–7:The Weekend to End Breast Cancer
Vancouver: Walk 60K for a cure.

Sept 20:Great Lake Walk
Lake Cowichan: A 56K ultramarathon.

Sept 28:Blue Heron Half Marathon/10K
Creston

Oct 12:BMO Okanagan Marathon 2008
Okanagan: Also featuring a half-marathon and 10K run. In support of the Sunshine Foundation: Dreams for Kids.

Oct 12:Royal Victoria Marathon
Victoria: Also featuring a half-marathon and 8K run.

Oct 26:James Cunningham Seawall Race 2008
Vancouver: All proceeds benefit BC Epilepsy Society and Kidsport BC.
